Super greens

Super greens are a combination of fruits, vegetables, algae’s and grasses. They have been compact, extracted and turned into a small convenient powder to consume with ease. Green powder supplements are to be used as a serving of fruits and vegetables (but not a replacement!) and contain vitamins, minerals, fibre and phytonutrients.

Grains, dairy and protein are all acidic to the body, whilst green leafy vegetables are either alkaline or basic. Taking greens supplements can help to balance the bodies PH levels. A poorly balanced pH can cause problems such as poor bone health, increased cortisol levels and slightly impaired thyroid function.

Benefits:

The amount of people consuming the ‘recommended 5 servings of fruit and vegetables’ is extremely low – but how low?

  • Less than 14% of men and 16% of women aged 35-49

  • Less than 24% of men and 22% of women aged 50-64
